30.01.09 - HIDE!02 Success & HIDE!03 in the works!!!

On Friday the 10th of October we finally launched the HIDE!02 release. It had been about 8 months since the recording (a result of all sorts of crises with equipment) but the night was well worth the wait!

The night was held at The Espy's Gershwin Room with the likes of Luke Shields from Quiet the Few, Fire Fire! and Winter St. in support of Ruby and Sam. The Pistoleiros were originally on the bill in place of Luke but unfortunately they pulled out late the day before...

Hiccups aside, it was an amazing night - over 260 people came by to help us celebrate the release and almost all of the 100 tapes were sold! We really couldn't have asked for a better result! Thank you to everyone out there who made the effort to come down and support Ruby, Sam & Bear.HIDE! It's given us a big boost in confidence as far as the scale of our events is concerned and a fair bit of cred too. Click here for photos of the night...

Just for reference, the HIDE!02 release was recorded live earlier this year at Barzooka in Brunswick. Click here for photos of the night... As per usual, it's a cassette release with mp3s available here on the website.

In other news, HIDE!03 is currently in the planning stages and will feature Fire Fire! and Alba Varden. It's looking like the recording will take place at the The Espy's "Basement" Room at this stage but we'll be sure to let you know when it's all confirmed! Until then, bear.HUG! XO
